Driving through Tierra del Fuego and finally arriving at Ushuaia (the disputed southern-most city in the world) I felt a mix of deep sense of accomplishment (thinking how the hell did I drive my van there from Chicago via Alaska?!), worry (the vehicle might not make it much farther), disappointment (I didn't have enough money left in the budget to travel to Antarctica), and relief (one major section of my expedition was successfully behind me).
